Your heart or soul that beckons you
Is usually perceived only in the mind
Often projected from the past
And isn’t really true for you now,

Or is it?  Really true?

What is the alternative?
Spending a lifetime wondering
What might lie beyond that door?
The only real risk is not truly living
A life true to your heart
And withering away behind
That old deteriorating door
As you continue
Living your life with regret.

Your evolutionary impulse summons you
To risk the discovery of new possibility.
Walk through the portal of opportunity
