Standing Ovation!

She made jokes about her dress, but you’ll see why she inspired her family to tears and the world’s toughest athletes to a standing ovation.

I never minded anyone identifying as transgender…I’m all for equality, fundamentally, and all for all of us learning to make friends with ourselves. But…perhaps like some of you…I never really got it. Until now.

Caitlyn was by turns eloquent, heartfelt, selfless and personal. Jolly good show:

I, for one, am more awake and understanding having watched and heard her emotional speech.

It takes sooo much courage to be your true self. For those saying Caitlyn had no place at tonight’s awards:

Wikipedia:
Although it is a sport-oriented award, it is not limited to sports-related people or actions, as it is presented annually to individuals whose contributions “transcend sports”.

“41% of trans teens attempt suicide. If even one of them watches this and sees someone who’s like them up there getting applauded like she is and decides to see if it gets better instead of taking their own life, this show has meant more today than any awards show in the history of ever.”
