The front page of the NY Times declares Carly Fiorina’s strong debate performance against Donal Trump the the rest of the (male) field of GOP candidates a win for the GOP in attracting female voters back into the fold. But is Ms. Fiorina a good vote for women?

On the plus side, Carly Fiorina was”Fiorina holds the notable distinction of being the first woman to take the lead at a Fortune 100 company.” She broke through the proverbial “glass ceiling”. She worked while her husband raised their children.

“Just ask African-Americans if Clarence Thomas represents them on the Supreme Court.” Or, I feel like this is akin to saying, “shouldn’t anti-racists support Herman Cain or Ben Carson?” “Another example might be Hillary Clinton – I’m not a feminist myself, but I’ve seen plenty of (I presume, since my source on this is Tumblr) feminists who don’t support her due to her stance on gay marriage…”

On the downside, she supports harmful policies toward women.

A few reasons based in fact that Planned Parenthood is worth supporting:

They provide health services to low-income individuals who otherwise can’t afford it.

Cervical cancer is caused by the HPV virus. You can’t even count how many lives they have saved.
