The Boulder A-Lodge: Fills an Adventure Gap in the Front Range

Boulder, Colorado, largely respected as the adventure sports capital of the U.S., finally has its own adventure lodge—something much needed in this booming community of adventure athletes, entrepreneurs, and health enthusiasts.

The A-Lodge (Boulder Adventure Lodge) is located 2.5 miles up Boulder Canyon at the confluence of Fourmile Creek and Boulder Creek. It sits on 7 acres of mountainous property, with the Fourmile Creek running right through the middle of it.

There are 28 rooms onsite including a new hostel room, single queens, double queens, a cabin and a few suites. The A-Lodge founders, Asa Firestone and Kris Klauber, plan to provide camping in warmer weather as well as open their newly renovated lobby & meeting space in late Spring, 2016. The Boulder Creek Path connects to the property so there is hiking right out the front door. The founders are partnering with local guides to offer a large assortment of programming from climbing to skiing, to outdoor film nights.
