For many of us this past weekend has been an intense one with an eclectic mix of emotions being felt at the extreme end of the scales, as well as sleep patterns and meal times being all out of sync.

Due to the strength of this month’s Full Blue Moon we may not have a clue as to whether we are on the right track for the future or if we are blindly taking tentative steps back toward the past. The good news is that this is all about to change, in a major way.

Every thing we have been hoping to achieve or anything we have been trying to integrate into our life is now within close reach. Most of us have an image of who we want to be and how we want our futures to play out. Often this image closely matches up to what is currently in our lives, but sometimes our lives have run amok and we have to work to get ourselves in a place that aligns with what we really want.

This week is going to be a game changer but we have to bring a mix of faith, determination and effort into it. No longer are we going to get away with feeling the comfort of the well-lit, open familiar road. Even if we try to ignore and deny that our lives need an overhaul, there is a little irritating sensation inside of us that is refusing to settle down and it is leading us into the unknown—which will at times seem a little dark. However, there is nothing at all to fear, we are just going to be opened up to possibilities we may not have seriously considered before. The unknown often feels petrifying, though it doesn’t mean there is any danger or threat.

We may have noticed that our soul is screaming out that it wants to feel on fire so that we are able to burn brightly with love, laughter, passion, and creativity. Mostly we are desperate to fill our hearts with all that it is magnetized to and all that it desires. This may seem an impossible and arduous task, although, it is actually very simple. We just need to open our heart charka so that we can let in opportunities, possibilities and potentials that we haven’t yet felt brave, or even worthy enough, to fully consider.

The one basic ingredient that we may have been missing is the courage we need to realign and restructure our lives so that they are a true reflection of our unique soul’s blueprint.

When we realize that we need to make alterations to our life, the first thing that often comes to us is fear. However, the fearful thoughts and emotions that we will be experiencing this week are most likely not real threats, but just our mind trying to keep us trapped in a settled corner of our comfort zone.

Hard as it may be at times, we are going to be encouraged to remove the safety blankets that we have wrapped around ourselves and that are keeping us stagnating in situations that are warm and cozy on some levels, but stifling and constricting on others. We cannot stretch and grow when we remain huddled in the shade too afraid to step out into the warmth of the bright sunlight.

We aren’t just going to experience a gentle push, we are going to feel a powerful and forceful blow that may temporarily knock us off the perch that has offered us a sense of stability for a considerable amount of time. We can rest assured that if we pay attention to the silent whispers, the changes that are coming for us are most certainly ones that are necessary for our personal growth (although this doesn’t mean we will feel like welcoming them with open arms, hearts and minds).

We shouldn’t forget that although we are warriors, not all of our battles are ones that we would choose or that we would willingly head into and they aren’t always going to have happy endings for those around us. Some of our most personal and intimate trysts will feel very much like a long and drawn out war and if we could avoid them, we likely would. But to reach the next stage of our journey we have to fearlessly keep pushing through.

Over the next few days it will be essential to remember that many of the jousts that are taking place are only within the constraints of our mind. It is always our choice whether to engage in external battles, or whether to gracefully step away, however the ones in our mind will remain and to gain inner peace they will have to be faced.

When we set our intentions on living true to the life we imagine for ourselves, the question that usually rattles around unanswered is, “How can I live true to myself without hurting anyone else?” When we want to change a part of our lives, quite often that also means that a part of someone else’s life is going to change too. When we have integrity and we are heart-centered with our intentions the last thing we want to do is cause someone else pain in order to achieve harmony, happiness or pleasure.

This week energy waves are hitting us hard, fast and furiously and they are going to shake us around as though we have been caught up in the wrath of a tornado. The irony is, although this may be a tumultuous week, we need these relentless ricocheting energies. The internal thrashing we are about to receive is absolutely necessary for our self-awakening.

Throughout this emotional stirring we are going to receive snippets of invaluable wisdom that will alert us to what is missing from our lives and also what is within our lives that no longer serves us.

We may want to reject and deny that change is coming for us. It will be so tempting to hide under the duvet and cling to whatever feels secure and safe—although, all we are doing is prolonging our eventual uprising. Settling is not the answer. Moving through and altering as we go is our only option if we want to achieve a place of deep inner peace, joy, love and soul satisfaction. Whatever does not resonate with us will fall away, leaving space for connections that affirm that we are fully alive and wholly appreciative of the unique existence that we have been gifted.

None of this will come easy and it will come with a price. We are going to need to dig inside and pull out every shred of strength and courage to navigate this next stage of our journey. To take full advantage of the energies this week we need to be prepared to stand tall and bow to our vulnerabilities. We are going to move from feeling weak, to afraid and then straight onto feeling like a Viking-warrior. One moment we will feel like we can handle anything that comes our way, the next we will feel like falling to our knees praying for guidance and blessings from the creator.

Over these next few days we may move from feeling wrong, small, bewildered, frustrated, frightened, intimidated angry and with a depth of sadness we may not have experienced for many nights, to feeling courageous, joyous, empowered, tall, capable, magnificent and entirely in control of all that these intense vibrations are offering us. Through it all, we are going to feel alive. Despite the turmoil pulsing through us, we will know that whatever is being delivered, we can handle, and that ultimately we are being pushed toward the highest version of ourselves, and emotional sensations that we have, as of yet, not known.

Sacrifice is the word of the week. Although it is a word that we may associate with loss, closure and heartache, we are still going to be asked about what is weighing us down that we are willing to sacrifice to reach the heights that our individual paths lead to.

Are we brave enough? Are we willing to cast aside certain entities that we once believed were essential for our overall happiness and future existence? As selfish as this may sound, this is the week to think of ourselves and not take the eye off our heart center. Other than responsibilities that cannot be forsaken, we are now being asked to stand on the altar and proverbially release anything that feels like a weight on our shoulders or a noose around our necks slowly squeezing the life from us.

Courage comes from the French word for root, cour or couer, which means heart.

We are going to be feeling energized and brave enough to look at the root of all our longings and desires and all that aligns and resonates with us. We are asked to connect to our heart, to feel and to listen. It is crying out to be heard. All we need is to find the courage we know is within us. Find the roots, hold onto the threads and then weave that courage into every aspect of our lives.

Courage and love are deeply intertwined. If we want one, we have to unearth and raise the qualities of the other.

For an extra dose of inspiration, channel the essence of William Wallace, in Braveheart:

“We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.” ~ Thornton Wilder
