The Night Dies Slow. {Poem}

Was it a whim?

Night sky sparkling white
Looked you in the eyes
A moment, you and I

In another life
Planet spinning blue
I would have held on
Held tightly onto you

Angels whisk me
Above, out of reach
A moment so true
Darling, it can’t be

The night dies slow
Fading for the day
I wished on a star
You and I could stay

When the dark slips away
Know my love won’t change
Dreams just sleep in the day.
