Meditation: I Think I’m Doing it Wrong. ~ Rob Pollak

by on Feb 6, 2013

To me, meditation doesn’t represent a time to contemplate and cleanse the mind. Rather, it represents a choice between (a) facing the judgment of my father and (b) immediately turning into my mother. Yes, that’s an irrational and self-created decision. But it’s one that paralyzes me and has led me to recruit an army of therapists who will now be able to drive Jaguars for years to come.

New Beginnings at the Mayan Ruins. ~ Keli Engleson

by on Jan 15, 2013

December 21, 2012: Today the 5125 year Maya Calendar cycle came to an end. We took the time to set new intentions and to celebrate the beginning of the next era. We awoke just before sunrise and journeyed to one of the oldest Mayan sites in Central America, Cahal Pech Maya Ruins located in Belize. This [...]

Enter 2013: Simplicity.

by on Dec 28, 2012

Now that we are still here and alive after the whole Mayan calendar doom and gloom scenario, what does it feel like to begin 2013? I ask myself that in meditation, while running, taking out the trash, petting many dogs on the street, making a one-bowl meal, sitting at the computer, drinking some green tea, [...]

Once Upon a Time. ~ Alexander Dunlop

by on Dec 21, 2012

I woke up the other day with a startling revelation: I need to be at Chichen Itza on December 21, 2012. Chichen Itza is perhaps the most important Mayan Temple. It’s in the Yucatan Peninsula, two hours inland from Cancun, Mexico. December 21, 2012 is the day the earth passes across the equator of the Milky Way galaxy. It is the [...]

Dear Diary, This Is Year 0. ~ Chantelle Jahara Pinto

by on Dec 20, 2012

Today was supposed to not happen. Day 1 We are all not dead! Amazing! What did the Mayans know? Better look outside the window and check, for what, aliens? Submerged coastline? Triffids? All I see is the postman. He drops the mail in my mailbox without any scaly tongue doing the work of his hands. [...]

The Stars Are Within Us. ~ Danielle Leigh

by on Dec 18, 2012

Source: Uploaded by user via Maja on Pinterest The end is near. The time is night. The poles are reversing. The ice caps are melting. The globe is warming. The Mayan Calendar is ending. Jesus is coming. It’s the zombie apocalypse. Shift happens. By now we’ve heard it all in one form or another. What [...]

Will Life as We Know It End This Week?

by on Dec 18, 2012

The last great shift was over 600,000 years ago. Perhaps, to many people, the idea of shifting from a masculine outlook to a feminine perspective is catastrophic. Truthfully, who among us likes to surrender power and authority? According to the indigenous wisdom keepers, the last large 28,000-year cycle has been overshadowed by the masculine. Commonly [...]

Murder Is Not Unthinkable. ~ Jayleigh Lewis

by on Dec 17, 2012

I hear people saying the shooting that occurred in Sandy Hook Elementary School on Friday is unthinkable. They say they can’t wrap their minds around it. I say it is unthinkable only in the sense that the idea of the world ending is unthinkable, when you come right down to it. Before Friday’s shooting, the [...]

December 21st: A Mayan Manifesto.

by on Dec 10, 2012

How to Survive the End of the World. This is the End. But not the end of the world. It’s the end of this world. ~ They say the end of the world is coming! The end is nigh!, they’ve warned for centuries But, yes, we can now see where we’re going and it doesn’t [...]

It’s the End of the World (well…as we know it, anyway).

by on Nov 5, 2012

Here’s what I tell people (myself included): just make it through these next six weeks or so; it’s just the way this year is going. We are experiencing the end of the world, but not the world in general—the world in specific. Our individual worlds are ending and I’m afraid it may get worse in the next few weeks before it gets better. If we can weather the changes we’re going through, then we all may just be okay. Not just okay. We may just become better versions of ourselves.

Ending Empire: An Initiation Speech for the Class of 2012. ~ Darrin Drda

by on Jun 2, 2012

Dear graduates, Thank you for giving me this opportunity to speak to you here in the hallowed halls of my imagination, in this remarkable place where iconoclasts like me are asked to give speeches at major universities. This is a tremendous honor. As I’m sure you all know, commencement means beginning. The word is synonymous [...]

It’s a Year of Transformation—Embrace it with Grace. ~ Vicky Iskandar

by on Apr 13, 2012

We’re a quarter way into 2012 and so many shifts are happening. Have you noticed that all around us, people are in various states of transitions? Changes that normally take a few years or a lifetime are happening faster than ever. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed as we’re being called to our highest truth. For [...]

Savasana: A Transfiguring Posture for 2012. ~ Maryz

by on Mar 23, 2012

We need to acquire the power of stillness as we journey through the Year of the Water Dragon and approach the end of the Mayan calendar, which will occur on December 21, 2012, because great shifts are predicted to happen swiftly on individual and collective levels.

Peace from Pieces—Thoughts For 2012. ~ David Firmage

by on Feb 22, 2012

Everything that makes up my body today was once a breath of my ancestors. They were once mountains, and one day you and I will become a drop of ocean. But, this is our stuff, our bones, and skin, and sweat. What of our souls? What of who we are?

2012: “The End of the World is Nigh—repent now.” Educated man spouts myth, forgets Christ’s message of love.

by on Jan 15, 2012

“Literally.” (and we know how that goes) “Salvation, free of charge”…7 Day Adventists, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists…enjoy painful punishment of hell for all eternity. “Pretty mean-spirited Christ.” “So what…fundamentalism is a problem in all religions.” “The collapse of the economic system is not the work of God…it’s the result of…” “…No, there’s no point saving [...]

Four reasons that, while the world may end today, it won’t be because of the Mayan Calendar.

by on Dec 30, 2011

The end is nigh? Nay: “The Mayan calendar does not predict the end of the world…” (Video) Bonus, new video: 2012 Truth ~ 2012 DOOMSDAY APOCALYPSE END OF TIMES RAPTURE!? The End is Nigh? The Hype is High. We humankind love the fear that is “The End is Nigh!” It’s fun, like astrology on pcp, [...]

2012 is The End! It’s the Beginning! …Or it’s just another year.

by on Dec 30, 2011

The clocks are ticking and 2011 is about to end and it’s about to be 2012. For some, this is a big deal.

A lot of people, from various walks of life, think that something big is about to happen. In the past year, a fundamentalist Christian radio personality name Harold Camping got not one, but two, 15 minutes of fame for casting predictions that the world would end within 2011 – and a lot of his followers maxed out their credit cards, sold their life’s possessions, and one woman slit her children’s throats and tried to kill herself in preparation.

Understanding The Mayan Calendar

by on Oct 14, 2011

After all, everything in the Universe is vibration and time does not exist, but only to measure space. Time and space are the dimension we live in. Your awareness of WHERE you are and WHEN you are there represent the present moment YOU are in.

The Mayan Calendar: World emergence

by on Oct 11, 2011

The Mayan Calendar gives us an opportunity to observe who we are on a daily basis under the cyclic influence of Nature energies, always changing, so that with this understanding we actually can use the one and only gift that makes us humans: conscious free will to manifest creation…and begin again.

A Layman’s Guide to Surviving the End of the Mayan Calendar. ~ David Telfer McConaghay

by on May 23, 2011

This information is primarily derived from the work of Carl Johan Calleman and Ian Xel Lungold. I’ve tried often to impart this information in person. My dear friend Ellen says she is starting to grasp the jist of it after hearing this same story clumsily recited 20 or so times. Thus, it is as much [...]

If you’re reading this, the End isn’t nigh.

by on May 9, 2011

World to End May 21, 2011?! If you haven’t been living under a rock lately, you will know that there are a lot of people who think that the world is going to end soon — either because of the Mayan calendar apparently ending in 2012, or because of the Apocalypse and the Rapture occurring [...]

Was December 21, 2010 the real “2012″?

by on Jan 2, 2011

We have been hearing for years all the hype around December 21, 2012. So what does it all mean, and why ask if December 21, 2010 is the real 2012? Contrary to what you may or may not know, all of the 2012 hype is actually based on profound science. Essentially, a phenomena that only happens (approximately) [...]

Apocalypse Now…and Now…and Now…and Now

by on Jul 9, 2010

The world is ending. The world has always been ending. For as long as humanity has had creation myths, we’ve also had destruction myths. Old wine in a new skin, enter the destruction myth du jour. The End Times as we know them; the Apocalypse. “An Apocalypse (Greek; “lifting of the veil” or “revelation”) is [...]

Drawing a Mandala: peace for the chaotic mind.

by on Feb 3, 2009

How are you feeling today? Is your mind thinking at 1,000 miles per hour? Are you overwhelmed with the speed of life around you and the stress created by thinking about your bank account, your work, your politics, your disfunctional relationships, your illness and all the other “yours” of the modern life? Are you begging [...]
