In Boulder, graduation (elefriend Jared Polis gave the commencement address at Naropa University last weekend) means mass exodus, with students abandoning barely-used furniture and appliances by the dumpsters, emptying houses and packing their trunks with four years of life, ready to move on to the next thing. No matter where you are, summer is the season to move. So check out this eco-alternative to U-Haul and the like: Green Truck Rental. Their biodiesel trucks not only save the atmosphere a little carbon, but, with gas reaching upwards of $4 a gallon in some parts of the country, will ease the stress on your wallet. For a slightly more radical approach to eco moving, check out this video by a journalist in Vancouver, who put out a classifieds ad and, with the help of volunteers, managed to move her entire apartment via bicycle.
