Here it is. Sums up an awful lot of what I’ve read and seen in a half-dozen articles, blogs and TV repots—all in a couple paragraphs. The old-school (in a good way) media reminds me a bit of the lead-up to the Iraq War…the media knew it was a crock, but didn’t have the guts, being called ‘liberal’ all the time, to stand up and tell truth to power—or to the American people.
Here, Herbert—a columnist, not a reporter—calls it like he sees it. Can’t stand the lies re: Lipstick on a Pig, “Bridge to Nowhere,” Obama wants Sex Ed for kindergartners? Read this one, by Krugman. Want to read another funny articolo, if funny means we have a prospective VP one 72-year-old heartbeat away from the Presidency who didn’t have a passport until last year, who charged her citizens a per diem for sleeping in her own house, who said she was not “an Al Gore doom-and-gloom environmentalist blaming the changes in our climate on human activity”? Then click here.
The good news: the mud you sling will, eventually, come back to you—as criticism and cynicism, even from your friends.
Want to do something about it? Donate (in the funnest way, by buying a shirt or sign). Host a house party. We’re talking the future of climate change, America’s wars in Iraq & Afghanistan, Education in America, the economy. 50 days to go, and counting.
And here’s my Sarah Palin Primer, from when she was first picked for the Republican Ticket.
