The Wisdom of No Escape: Best Introductory Buddhist Meditation book, by Pema Chodron.

Why read… THE WISDOM OF NO ESCAPE > by Pema Chodron

I might’ve grown up a po’boy, but I had a loving mama who raised me healthfully and prioritized my education. So while I stilll have that queasy feeling in my gut whenever I proffer my debit card at Whole Foods, I’m aware that I got one of the luckier life situations going in this unfair world.

That said, on a daily basis, my mind is beset by worry, petty issues, longings and temper tantrums. And so the best “product” I could review here ain’t the Electra Amsterdam, Chico Bag, fair-trade cappucino with non-drugged cow milk, climbing at the Spot, or Mad Men (my latest fave). No, it’s something that’s been a daily anchor for that most fundamental thing to living a good life: sanity

Meditation helps me to rise above the ocean of samsara I find in my mind, each morning after I wake up, and each evening, before I go to bed and dream about….work. >> VIA WAYLON LEWIS.
