Inspired, I’m sure, by my recent article for the Huffington Post (please please comment comment, good or bad) on the need for leadership, not just grassroots mobilization, in fighting global warming, President-elect Obama just gave a talk on Global Warming. While it may seem innocuous, positive in a general way, pinch yourself: we’ve finally got a President who acknowledges the facts, the threats, and the need to do something and do it in cooperation with our global community. Wow!

I have hope that we can not only get along with our global neighbors, but can also be an example to the rest of the world’s more powerful countries.
