Jon Stewart just took a month off. So, for a month, I didn’t understand any world events…like this whole new Israel vs. Palestine war situation. Now, he’s back from the Caribbean. Waves his funny wand, and suddenly I’m well-informed. Something about God making multiple promises…only thing worse, the Mets. They got no bullpen. Videos:

  2. DrVermin says:

Can he take another month off and Colbert can just do two shows a night?

  3. Sarah Miller says:

it’s no coincidence that only days are left in the Bush Administration and Israel “decides” to up the rocket fire and war mongering. and if Naomi Wolf is correct, the “Invisible Coup” is mos def. already in place and this is one more king pin for it….
we have so much work to do. but sometimes it’s just so refreshing to see Jon tell it like it is- with a smile!

I encourage everybody to watch the documentary, “Peace, Propaganda and the Promised Land.” Its a great documentary that sheds light on the media bias that distorts the true reality of the conflict and is a major impediment to peace.

The documentary can be viewed in full for free:

It does not discuss Israel’s illegal wall or the “withdrawal” from Gaza but is a great resource.

Through the voices of scholars, media critics, peace activists, religious figures, and Middle East experts, Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land carefully analyzes and explains how–through the use of language, framing and context–the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza remains hidden in the news media, and Israeli colonization of the occupied terrorities appears to be a defensive move rather than an offensive one.
