Amazing Grass Bars

With a name like Amazing Grass, I expected these energy bars to taste like dry lawn clippings pressed into the familiar rectangle I associate with flavorless meals-to-go. Luckily, I was wrong! These too-healthy-to-be-tasty sounding bars are amazingly good.

They’re not too sweet or too peanut buttery. Not too dry or too pasty. Satisfying but not bloating. And they come in a lovely shade of dark green, so it looks like you’re eating your veggies but doesn’t taste like it.

They’re organic, cold-processed, alkalizing, gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan.  Wat more could label-savvy consumer desire? One bar has 230 calories, 5 grams of protein, 8 grams of fat and is packed with omega 3 and 6.

The magic ingredient? Amazing Grass’s own Green SuperFood—a fashionable oleo of healthiness—acai, maca, green tea, agave nectar and spirulina plus barley grass, wheatgrass, alfalfa, spinach, chlorella, rosehips, beets, etc .You get the picture. They taste good and they’re good for you.

They also come in delicious chocolate, made with fairly traded cocoa.  Think dates and dark chocolate, not chocolate covered wheatgrass.
