Stone Buhr Organic Flour
Stone Buhr has teamed up with Shepherd’s Grain and the Food Alliance to create flour that helps support family run farms that are Genetically-Modified-free and committed to sustainable agriculture. I tested Stone Buhr’s All Purpose flour in my favorite sweet potato muffin recipe and found that it had a great, light consistency. Stone Buhr also supports our friends, The Conscious Alliance, by donating flour to Native American reservations in dire need.

  1. If you want to support a local producer of awesomely delicious whole grain flour, contact Farmer John Ellis. He grinds his wheat fresh, and it makes the best whole wheat bread ever! He hasa stand at the Boulder Farmer’s Market, and when the market isn’t running, you can visit his farm stand over near Walden Pond. His number is 303-440-0750, and he’s located at 3889 75th St. in Valmont.
