The cooperation of Gaiam and Discovery represents the coming together of two of the world’s largest, most powerful planet-minded media companies. From the Press Release:

Gaiam to distribute Discovery’s DVDs
LOUISVILLE – Lifestyle media and fitness accessory distributor Gaiam Inc. in Louisville has signed a home video license agreement with Discovery Communications.

Under the three-year agreement, Gaiam (Nasdaq:GAIA) will release programming from Discovery Communications’ networks including Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, ID: Investigation Discovery, Science Channel, HD Theater and Military Channel.

    Or, like Gaiam partnering with Elephant Journal – which we hope to do more of in the future. Yes, I do think we're entering an era of collaboration, especially with all of the great collaboration tools available on the internet.
