Mike Smith Buddhist

My old good nearly lifelong friend, Mike Smith, now a realtor in Halifax, was in Boulder, today.

He reminded me of a Buddhist talk he gave awhile back that mentioned the time he first met me, when I was 13 or 14, at Karme Choling in Vermont. Video:

Basic Buddhist Talk and the song “Hotel California.” from Mike Smith on Vimeo.

“Hey Waylon,

How is it going? I’m living and working in Ontario for awhile although I’m back in Nova Scotia for a week.

I keep up with your elephantjournal.com. Great job!

Recently, I was asked to give a basic talk for wonderful small Buddhist group (including my mom) called Karma Thegsum Chöling in Erie, Pennsylvania. The topic is the transition from the Hinayana (Lesser Vechicle) to the Mahayana (Greater Vechicle). Like trading your Dodge Omni in for a Lincoln Town Car or a Gran Torino.

Reference to you and Hotel California starts 10:26 into the 18 minute talk. Emaho,
