kerouac poster

Kerouac, like Bob Marley, Bruce Lee, the Grateful Dead and…what/who else?…is a member of that most elite of groups: the ubiquitous college poster.

Here’s 10 I found. I actually couldn’t find a good one of the exact poster (above) I set out thinking of, which is just his photo straight-on that was originally taken for Vogue, I think.

I've really enjoyed his recordings. He had such an expressive voice–worth checking out! I had a tape collection, nicely packaged with a big photo album/notebook, all of which have been "altered" by my 4-year old. It had his recordings with Steve Allen, and Zoot Sims, etc. I wonder if it's availabe as a CD package now?

    great selection of photos/posters!

  5. Tres says:

"What difference does it make after all?–anonymity in the world of men is better than fame in heaven, for what's heaven? what's earth? All in the mind."
    – Jack Kerouac, On the Road, Part 3, Ch. 11

  6. Nancy Astrid Lindo LOVE! Reminds me of your pic you had up recently, very a la Kerouac. I can hear Coltrane whispering in the background – beautiful!
