Tips for Economic Prosperity. ~ via Kalpa

I have been a financial crisis blogger for quite a few months now, each day digging into cyberspace to find the most relevant news items, and then trying to draw conclusions from them. At present, I’m amazed and in disbelief about the rebounding strength of the equity markets and general media headlines which assume that we are in a recovery. Sometimes I think that I am living in a parallel universe because it’s about the only way I can rationalize how different my assessment of the situation is from theirs.

The seemingly disastrous economics of our current time impacts everything about our modern world, our human future, and this earth’s future. Strangely, its nonexistence impacted nothing in the caveman’s world, which begs a few questions.

Einstein said,

Everything is determined…by forces over which we have no control. It is determined for the insect as well as for the star. Human beings, vegetables, or cosmic dust–we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible piper.

If this world is predetermined, then how would that apply to what has just happened here in the economic universe? Perhaps it explains everything. Could there be right or wrong? Would predetermination exclude human decision-making? Is entropy involved in the thinking process? Or is the thinking process entropy?

Lao Tzu, in the Tao te Ching, advocates little in the form of regulation or rules, and holds that the yin and the yang explain everything. One trusts that all is as it is meant to be. A feeble mind cannot weigh the past, present, and future complexities as if it knows what outcomes would be if one thing or another had or had not happened. This requires acceptance and belief that the world is unfolding as it is meant to. That results in a reward of inner peace.

Who am I to judge? Although it is fraught with inadequacies and imbalances, we live in a civilized society which includes law and order; the ultimate goal is to keep the average citizen protected from harms way. But within that system are many, many failures.

By our society’s prevailing ethics, many political figures have not done their job representing the citizens of our nation to protect them against the looting of our futures by the powerful banking interests.

But the goal now, is to deal with the crisis at hand and try to prevent it from recurring again. And in that process, we try to protect the greater good. If we live in a democracy, then it’s up to each of us to participate in our government.

I write to help inform people and hopefully make a difference towards that greater good in some small way. Perhaps, I never had a choice not to.

Remember that the yin and the yang explain everything. For the bad in what has happened, there will be an equal amount of good to come.
