pact eco organic hipster underwear

Though I’m veggie, I stopped by good ol’ Jax Fish House (home of Top Chef Hosea, David Query—and most importantly, Kaitlyn) in Boulder, Colorado last week for a drink with my buddy Ryan Van Duzer, and wound up sitting down to (many) dessert(s) with the Revelry crew…and talking at length with

Jason Kibbey & Jeff Denby

the two gents behind Pact Underwear, who were in town for a few days.

What’s Pact, you ask?

“PACT manufactures premium organic cotton underwear designed by Yves Behar. Shipped in a compostable envelope, each pair is inspired by a social or environmental cause and 10% of every sale goes to our non-profit partners.”

While doodling on the paper tableclothes and wolfing down fancy desserts, we talked favorite “mindful,” practical, stylee underwear (mine are American Apparel briefs). One of ’em even knew of my demi-namesake, Abbott/Beat Poet Philip Whalen. Both Jeff and Jason came across as thoroughly stylish, passionate, savvy and caring.

Now why didn’t I think of that, I thought to myself: start a business that’s hip, fun, that every green (and horny) blogger on god’s green earth wants to blog about…that changes the world for the better…and that involves lots of ecofashion shoots with happy models lolling about in their knickers.

The fact that this video features Señor Chang from "Community" makes it great.

    You are kidding me right?

I think sometimes the name dropping is a little too much, Waylon. No one wants to hear about Ryan Van Duzer and Kaitlyn etc.. It's very Boulder Elite and it makes your articles sound like a who's who. We just want to hear about the underwear, not desserts and drinks at Jax with all the cool kids.

  5. How can I drop your name if you won't give it, anon?

Last I checked Ryan and I were both gleeful idiots, him living in momma's basement, me a total failure. No one thinks we're cool. Kaitlyn works at Jax. No clique-ish-ness intended, just saying who I know whereever I go.

  6. Organic cotton–that's cool.
For some reason, upon reading the post's title, I thought "biodegradable"…and was imagining my sweaty ass turning underwear into compost inside my pants.

Did I just reveal too much?

  7. Marcus says:

That was kinda hot and sexy in a dorky kinda way.
