CorePower Yoga Opens New Studio in Boulder, Colorado. ~ Jean Spencer

CorePower Knocks on UniHill

Yogis: Deep breath in.

Bikram Yoga on the Hill has closed (hold breath).

But don’t worry, dear Yogis, the commercial space is still a yoga studio (deep breath out).

CorePower Yoga bought, re-painted, re-carpeted and slapped the characteristic black, orange and yellow logo on the front of the former Bikram Studio, located at 1129 13th Street near Boulder’s Fox Theatre.

This is the third CorePower Yoga in Boulder and the sixth in Colorado.  The company also has studios in California, Illinois, Minnesota and Oregon.

Some, including Elephant Journal’s Waylon Lewis, believe this demonstrates that aesthetically pleasing and professionally-run yoga studios continue to kick more hole-in-the-wall operations in the butt.

But perhaps it’s just a token that Boulderites refuse see the number of yoga studios per capita in this town go down by one.

We hope that the studio’s one-week facelift was done in an eco-responsibly manner, but we already know the improvements look great.

Shout out to Lara Borrego of CorePower for opening the studio, and best of luck to Rasa Zubkute, of the former Bikram studio.

Here’s Rasa’s farewell letter:
