A Chance to Take Action

Let’s Move Beyond Oil.

Video and petition to move Obama to act.

Pelicans weighted with so much oil they can’t fly, and are stuck in the “water.” Dolphins literally drowning in oil.

It’s an outrage—one we’ve all caused. So let’s use this moment for good—let’s stop hurting our beautiful country, Let’s stop costing our economy far more than we pay at the gas pump. Let’s stop giving money to our enemies.

Let’s use this moment to wake up, and invest in a clean, domestic, renewable energy future.

forwarded, posted, shared, bookmarked and otherwise sent out into the ether to hopefully help. OH and I got my bicycle fixed today. I ride a motorcycle to help with gas consumption but I am sure I can do more. Thanks for reminding me…we all do our part to add to either the problem or the solution.

    done done and done.

Divesting in fossil fuels (i.e. stop buying gas, coal power) would also do at least as much good. Convert home power use to wind power (can be done through Excel/Public Service) and walk, bike, or take the bus to get around.

revoke bp corporate charter. they abused their power by spearheading effort to stop regulation, then further abused it by refusing to obey EPA orders. unless the entire govt is a puppet, inc. head of state, its time to consider death penalty for BP as a "fictitious corporeal entity", at least to put corps. on notice that they will be held to some minimum standard of public safety.
