The method behind PETA’s madness—from the horses’s mouth, so to speak.

“Our grandchildren will live in a world where they ask, ‘Mom, Dad, why did humans treat animals like slaves?'”

Ingrid Newkirk walks us through PETA’s reasoning, goals and accomplishments. I started crying a bit at five minutes and 45 seconds in, but though overall this video is pretty intense, it’s largely watchable (unlike some horror movies I’ve tried to watch about the factory farm and fur business).

If you dislike PETA’s methods, you owe it to yourself to watch the full thing—and see the reasoning behind their methods, the crimes they’re working to end, and the accomplishments that follow their controversial work.

Here’s a PETA is Bulls*t video:

I can't understand people who are critical of PETA. This abuse of animals is a serious matter, and it requires aggressive — sometimes theatrical — actions to wake people up. Next up: abuse of people!

  2. Blake says:

I love PETA! They have given me a good reason to run around naked. Before, it was nakedness without a cause.

  3. Krys says:

Oh dear, there goes my respect for Penn & Teller. I really thought those guys were intelligent enough not to fall into nearly every mental pitfall of the average meat-eater. Anyone up for a game of Defensive Omnivore Bingo?

  4. _Melissa_ says:

    I'm a vegetarian for penn & teller

this is such a brilliant film and SO hard to watch, especially if you are a vegetarian animal loving kinda chick. but worth the watch nonetheless, because everyone needs to be fired up enough to take these kinds of messages abroad and make this planet healthier and happier.
