A week in the life of President Obama.

Progressives love to complain about everyone except Kuchinich or Nader. Liberals love to (not) fight for what they believe in. Republicans love to vote no on everything (except DADT, props). And Tea Partiers love to protest, and, well, party.

But my only complaint about President Obama’s service, thus far, is that We the People don’t see him enough. He’s a grounded, capable, and, yes, charismatic leader and human being—but too often since his election he hasn’t made use of the bully pulpit—the office and opportunity that is the Presidency. And without popular support, nothing gets accomplished.

So it was with relief that I ran across this “West Wing Week” series.

Here’s the most recent. For all videos in this real-life West Wing, click here and search “West Wing Week.”

Welcome to the West Wing Week, your guide to everything that’s happening at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Walk step by step with the President as he signs a landmark childhood nutrition bill, urges passage of the compromise on tax cuts and unemployment insurance, discusses the Afghanistan-Pakistan Annual Review, and more.
