…according to TPM, the question gets a big laugh from the audience, and the congressman in question failed to call out the audience member.

A new low in US politics? Nah: the reaction of 99.9% of all citizens to this sad incident—whether we voted for President Obama or no—will be condemnation. That shows our basic goodness and sanity as much as anything possibly could. ~ Waylon Lewis

File this under this country might be going to hell in a handbasket ’cause aggression is never the solution it may seem to be…except that most citizens in this country will, appropriately, react to this sad instance with sad horror—the natural reaction of fundamentally good and sane human beings everywhere.

  1. Dmachine says:

Surely the libs wished nothing short on the previous administration-our appointed leaders need to take the high road in these instances to prove to the extremists that there is zero tolerance for hate.

  2. Amazing. If that same question had been asked of a Senator from 2000-2008, they would have been arrested for threatening the President. Can any of us imagine Senator Broun smiling and not rebuking such a remark (because it really wan't a question, was it?) during the previous President's reign?

  3. Viv says:

You should name the senator. Does shame still work, or does one need be fired a la Galliano?
