Help elephriend Leslie Harroun Save the World from the North Pole!

Boost your Karma and help elephriend Leslie Harroun, a shambhala buddhist and climate activist, save the Arctic!

Please join elephant journal in supporting Leslie Harroun’s bid for official blogger status on an expedition to the North Pole. Leslie―a shambhala buddhist, professional staff philanthropist, writer/photographer, dedicated yogi and all-around good sentient being―has dedicated her career to solving climate change.

Leslie wants to raise her own voice and she is asking for your help.

If Leslie wins this contest, she’ll use it as an opportunity to help focus attention on global warming and ocean acidification in the Arctic. I know her stories and photos will make the Arctic’s beauty and fragility come to life, while documenting melting ice caps, displaced wildlife, and communities literally falling into the sea. She’ll portray what’s happening in a way that ignites people’s compassion and basic humanity; she will help people feel, see and understand with their hearts how we are hurting the planet and each other. Leslie is the only contestant in this international competition who would focus on the fate of the Arctic and what it means for the planet and all of us.

Leslie needs your vote by noon EST on February 15. She only needs to be in the top five to win! Show Leslie your love and help elephant journal make her a cause célèbre: vote for her at Blog your Way to the North Pole. When you’re done, grease her wheels with your own social network using Facebook and Twitter.

Thank you for sharing your kindness and generosity with Leslie!
