now show us what they'd look like with all those tats when they're 80 and no photoshop enhancements. :o)

  2. 13thfloorelevators says:

First, fashion *is* art. Second, what is the point of this?

  3. actually, Jolie is already rather tattoo'd. but the real point here is that tattoos ARE art.

Nice man. It's all in the intention or vision or mission of the tattoo-getter. I don't think all tattoos have deeper meaning, necessarily. ~ Waylon

      • Celia says:

"It's all in the intention or vision or mission of the tattoo-getter" AND of the tattoo artist…

i agree with the above poster… what is the point? what is the point of posting photos of conventionally pretty, conventionally posed, half naked women on this site? how does this relate to yoga and spirituality? i could see better ways to make the point that tattoos are art, this is just titillation to draw in more viewers.

What an odd post. The title implies that all of the mentioned womens’ tattoos are a fashion statement rather than a thought out piece of art that has personal significance. Who are we to say when we are not in their bodies, nor in their heads? It also implies that unless you have the bulk of your body covered in tattoos, them somehow the tattoos that do adorn your skin aren’t to be taken as art or anything other than a poorly thought out fad? And at any rate, who are we to judge what someone else chooses to do on their own skin?

  5. Bella says:

The only one that, in my opinion, looks good with all the tatoos is Kristen, but only because of the make-up, wardrobe, hair, etc…And I agree with your comment: " I know plenty of folks with tattoos that are faddish, soon regretted:". I consider art something that lasts a lifetime, that can be looked at 100 yrs from now with awe…something original and unique…being a painter, photographer, tatooist does not make you an artist.

Kristen Stewart Actually Looks Better With Them. Katy Perry Looks Stupid.

  7. melbelle says:

this post is probably one of the dumbest I've seen on E.J. Who cares about these celebrities and whether they have tattoos or not? And why are these women being objectified here more than they already are. Sorry to be negative, but I love E.J. and I just don't get this……

    • bex0r says:

Yes! Thank you! I really have no feelings either on way tattoos/no tattoos, whether they're art or not art, but the style and portrayal of all the women in these photos is incredibly sexualized and only serves to objectify them. they're not objects, they're people. they just happen to be famous.

    • motheroak says:

      i totally agree with you.

  8. MC541 says:

How come Jen Aniston and Angilina Jolie have the same woman tattoo? That would never happen.

  9. @tangenjill says:

It's interesting how the artist gave Jolie and Aniston the same left arm tat.

  10. Toni says:

All I notice is, I no longer see the woman. I see the "art". It's wearing her in every photo.

  11. jaime says:

i like how all the people that called this article stupid, still clicked on it. what did you think it was going to be? and who cares about your skin when you’re 80?? lighten up and take a breath people 🙂

  12. dana says:

Life is art. Tattoo or no tattoo. A body is art already decorated with life, some choose tats others do not. Both art, both beautiful.

  13. Vee says:

Kinda funny that they put a giant wolf on Kristen Stewart's chest. Team Edward will not be amused.

  14. Jess says:

These are amazing photoshop jobs but seriously Angelina has a bunch of tattoos so I dont know why shes even on this list.

  15. Sarah says:

am i the only one who's going to say eww!? that heart shaped one on Jennifer Aniston's bum looks like an open gaping wound. if these women wanted tattoos i think they'd get their own. i would hate to have photos of me altered this way. tattoos are supposed to reflect your own personal style. obviously if they wanted to cover their bodies in them they would do it on their own without the help of whoever spent hours putting this together. also, Jennifer Aniston's skin is so lovely that i hope she never covers it with that.
hey EJ readers: it's pretty safe to say many of you practice yoga, eat well, and drink filtered water, try to stay healthy. why, then, are any of you pro ink? i bet you don't buy foods with red dye #40 in them, but you'd inject colored ink and have it touched up year after year? please respond if you do, because i don't get that.

  16. James says:

it's an art. nothing wrong with that, also having a lot of tattoos isn't really my forte. the only one that looks good with these tattoos in my opinion is megan fox, because of the hair, makeup, tone etc.
