First love’s gonna getcha.

I thought I understood it…but I only understood the idea of it.

“…picked up both the Grand Jury Prize and a Special Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, stars Anton Yelchin, Felicity Jones, and Jennifer Lawrence.”

Only fools rush in…

My first love? It was the real thing, pure and powerful, and we didn’t know how to handle it, and outside forces tipped us over, and we fell, and clung to one another, until she gave up, and…for years I thought of her every day, a shadow of sunlight, every day, for years I thought of her.

Oh, God, my first real love (one I actually had a relationship with and was not unrealized…) was Iggy Pop. How the HELL does one get over that? Needless to say, I was not HIS first love, but we met when I was 18 (he was 35) and dated until I was 20 with one magnificantly horrific final blowout in Hawaii. It took me years to move on, I still sometimes dream of him, and yes, some of this will be in my book 🙂 – Alexa Maxwell (

This is synchronicity. I watched the trailer 5 minutes before running into this article. I thought I understood…

"First love is all right as far as it goes. Last love, that's what I'm interested in." – quoted from The Edge of Love, couldn't help myself 🙂
