A gal friend and I were watching TV yesterday and were suddenly stopped in our tracks by this ad. Tide Laundry Detergent not only chemicalizes our clothes, but now wants to take it to the next level and give us a good solid brainwash with the stuff.

This sexist and borderline homophobic advertisement, being aired nationwide, is mysteriously considered a witty jab at housewives (if not something to empathize with), but are we missing the real jab here?

Ick. Kind of a bummer, right?
