There's an amazing recording of Louis Armstrong being interviewed by Edward R Murrow, in Paris, not sure the year, early in the morning after an all night gig. The deep humanity of both men is so touching. I have looked around youtube and have not found any video of it but it's truly precious

  3. So glad "La vie en Rose" made the list…one of my all-time favorite songs (the lyrics are more beautiful in French, but Louis's amazing voice makes up for that;) Dream a little Dream too – that's a fave in the lullaby repertoire at our house.
