Day 12: Mid-Toss Ahimsa

It is important to pause mid-toss. Go back and look at your original wish.  What did you want when you began 24 Things?  Has it altered?

We must move through the world with purpose and intention.  No matter what you wish for, take the focus off the self.  This elevates the energy behind your desire and aligns it with the Universal good.

My goal is to have a healthier, stronger, lighter body.  I didn’t say “I want to lose 15 pounds”.  The energy  shouldn’t focus on loss. (Law of Attraction)

The motivations for this goal reside outside of myself.  Yes, I want to feel and look better but I also want to live a long life for my husband and son.  I want to be with them as long as I can.  Taking care of my health, letting go of the extra weight serves us all.

Meditate on what you have let go of thus far.  Does it match up with your goal? Perhaps, its a good time to tweak your wish or even throw it away (could be your day 12 item) and choose again. Refining your aspiration is powerful so be specific.

Another important aspect in getting your wish is devising a plan and sticking to it.  Just wanting something isn’t enough. You need to put things into action and let go of the things that do not serve you.

The Universe doesn’t work on our schedule.  You might not get what you want exactly when you want it but you will get what you need right now.  Nurture that faith.

The most important thing is to practice Ahimsa; Do no harm in word, thought or deed to any living thing.  This includes yourself.  So many of us have that unkind and critical voice in our heads.  There was a time in my life when I would never be so cruel to anyone as I was to myself.  Yoga helped me silence that voice and replace it with one of Ahimsa.

Set your desire free in the spirit of Ahimsa and gratitude and watch what grows.
