Barack, we’re just not that into you…

If everyone seems to think the media is biased one way (liberal)…perhaps it’s because whomever controls most of the media (corporate) is telling everyone it’s so. Let me try that again…

Because if liberals controlled the media, they’d tell everyone that conservatives controlled the media.

  1. Exactly. The "liberal media" has always been a myth perpetrated by the (actually quite conservative) media.

  4. Waylon,

Did you make this chart yourself you fucking retard? Obama has only bad news because that is all he fucking does… The other tools aren’t creating havoc and destroying our 401K’s with every policy decision. The are also ran’s…

Actually, you probably haven’t noticed since your mother funds your website and you have no 401k like the rest of us 53%ers….

Sounds like your 401k is the least of your problems, Jimmy…

My mother is rich, but only in the things that matter…she's a teacher, so I don't get any monetary love, not that it's any of your business. I've worked for everything I have—isn't that your American Dream, conservatives?

Sounds like you could use a little good ol'fashioned love, sir!

When I wrote for a daily newspaper in a midwestern city, my editor would say things like "where's the conflict in this story?"–on *pieces about music.* I wrote a piece on "traditional" and "contemporary" worship music in Christian churches, and tried very hard to make it balanced and nuanced, and my editor, despite my express request, added "What is God's favorite music?" as the lead. Al Franken is right: the media are biased toward making money, like any other business, and if recycling press releases and talking points and ginning up conflict are the way to do it, those are the things they'll do.
