Via Newsweek’s ever charming tumblr.

I don’t see anything bad about being stereotyped as a Latin woman. We are yellers, we’re pretty, we’re sexy, and we’re scandalous.

I am not scared of the stereotypes.

~ Sofia Vergara, of Modern Family, who maybe yells a little too much.

Actually, seeing as she was known more for her lovely glutes than anything else and was given the nickname Sofia Viagra by many, her ability to completely leave all that behind and become an actor with real cool comic timing is just great! Just because you become known for one thing, doesn't mean you can't forget about it and become even more well known for something completely different.

    Kat Tatis Arriba Colombia!!!

Tamara Levitt LOL. Last line: True dat. I don't watch TV any more and had no idea who Chelsea lately is…. Hilarious!!

    Sarah Beth Brown LOVE her!

    Ludolph Duyssen I like that.

Didier Francisco Pelaez Melo Todo es posible. Bella Sofia.

  2. Love her–she's so funny! Modern Family is one of the few network tv shows with decent writing/acting (and sometimes I remember when it's on & remember to watch it.)

Haha, she's awesome. I don't watch modern family. Maybe I should, if she's in it and talks like that.

I just watched it for first time yesterday, it's on Hulu, at least a few of 'em. It's funny, and better than most conventional sitcoms, but she's def the comic highlight.
