This is #29 of 108 Ways to Livin’ the Moment. Let’s take back our lives one beautiful, funny and delicious moment at a time.

#29 of 108:  Win the Love Championship

Last Friday night, I saw an old man walking near my apartment in the East Village (see pic).

He had a cane, a limp, a ponytail and some lingering coolness. An old, arthritic dog who, like the old man, had some swagger, was walking alongside.

They were aging, they were hurting, but together, they were so charismatic. Everyone was looking at them.

Because they had it. And when you have it, it doesn’t matter how good you look or how rich you are. When you have it…you win!

It flows between species whether you and your dog, or you and your plants, or you and your kids.

What is “it?”

The best way to determine the quality of love is to look around you right now.

Is the dog vibrant, is the wife happy, are the kids grounded, are the plants thriving?

I will be the first to tell you I’m a plant killer. I need to work on that, among many other things.

When we feel like something is amiss, like we’re stuck in the ways of health or happiness, finances or romance, let’s consider the age-old saying…

Before we can succeed in life, we have to succeed at home.

I woke up this morning and turned on my iPhone a few minutes before I was ready to face the world.

I was hit by an onslaught of information that felt like that little wave in the ocean that sneaks up and pounds you to your knees.

I will be one of the first to get the iPhone 5 later this month but there has to be a navigation system greater than GPS, an intelligence smarter than Siri, a joie d evivre richer than gaming. Call it what you will, if you share this sense that it’s time to reclaim our humanity…

I invite you to become a Momenteer and save the world by Livin’ the Moment!

Email [email protected] and write Momenteer! in the subject line.

We are getting close to launch!
