Son,

“I love you right up to the moon and back.”

When you’re struggling son, know that I love you.

When you’re hurting son, know that I care.

When you’re questioning son, know that I understand.

When you’re wondering son, know that I’m there.

When you’re lonely son, know that I’m close.

When you dream son, know that I believe.

When you’re sad son, know that I’ll comfort.

When you’re insecure son, know that I’m proud.

When you’re unsure son, know that I’ll guide.

When you’re unsteady son, know that I’ll support.

When you’re disappointed son, know that I’ll understand.

Always know that through it all, I love you.

 

The choices that you make are lessons that you can learn from.

In life, we all make choices that we’re not proud of; we hurt others and ourselves sometimes. We all do.

These are opportunities for you to grow and mature.

Learn and grow.

Just remember that you are a kind, beautiful, caring, compassionate soul, worthy of all good things, with limitless possibilities.

As you learn, I’ll be close by to lend an ear, a shoulder, support and love.

I love you son, through it all.
