Heath White became numb and emotionally shut off from his childhood-sweetheart wife and unborn baby when he found out that their second child would be born with Down Syndrome.

He encouraged his wife Jennifer to have an abortion and went through all of the stages of grief, feeling like he’d lost a child.

His heartbroken wife, however, had other plans—she refused to do anything but keep their baby girl.

Watch this video—and watch a jock, “perfect”-type guy become a man he didn’t even know he could be.

This viral video surprised me with its inspiring and loving tribute to a daughter—in the hopes of touching just one more family out there that’s perhaps contemplating a different ending for their fairy tale.
