Take a few minutes out of your day to watch: Mankind is no Island.
This short film was shot entirely on a cell phone on the streets of two cities—New York and Sydney. Its message is universal, simple and poignant.
The film demonstrates the disconnection society has with our homeless communities. It is an issue that most of us regretfully, but undeniably can relate to—we go about our day-to-day life bypassing these precious lives that lie there on the footpath without even simply acknowledging them.
If this film evokes a sense of compassion, if it moves you, if it opens your eyes—please take a moment to reflect on how you, as part of this larger group consciousness, can connect with and support those less fortunate.
For we are all one.
