The Dolphins are Dead, Again. [Photo]

Update: We received some casually racist and aggressive comments toward the Japanese people re our post, below, about the recent, unspeakably horrific dolphin slaughter in the Cove in Taiji. Let us remember: 1) many Japanese abhor the killing and capture of dolphins 2) we create the demand whenever we visit water parks with dolphins, etc. 3) aggression feeds aggresssion, hates fuels defensiveness. We conquer our enemies only when we make them our friends.  5) bacon. Pigs are intelligent. Let us look into our own ignorance and hate before prejudging others. Then we shall find the insight and empathy with which to wake this world up from unnecessary cruelty and suffering. ~ ed.

The Cove turned red with the blood of hundreds of slaughtered Dolphins again, yesterday.

One dolphin continued to swim and spy hop next to his family on the opposite side of the net. — at Taiji Japan.

We’ll add two recent major media interviews and more videos as they become available.

We try not to get to crazy with Politics and Social Issues from our page, but we feel this is important. Many of your know, that we worked on a film called The Cove produced by our good friend Fisher Stevens, directed by Louie Psihoyos and staring Ric O’Barry. This film brought the dolphin capture/salughter to the light that takes place in Taiji, Japan. The film won an Oscar for Best Feature Documentary in 2010. It is now 2014. On January 17th, these barbarians captured an estimated 250 wild Bottlenoise Dolphins. These poor angels of the sea , were either captured or slaughtered. There are several petitions going around that is asking the International Olympic Committee to revoke Tokyo’s 2020 Hosting status. The Japanese Government has the power to stop this atrocity. Please follow Sea Shepherd Cove Guardians PageSea Shepherd Global Oceanic Preservation Society Ric O’Barry’s Dolphin Project to find out more information. Our oceans are being destroyed, and this is just absurd. We made such huge waves in 2010 bringing this to light. The worst is happening right now! Please spread the word, and sign these petitions. We will not go away! #SaveTheWhales #SavetheDolphins #Blackfish #TheCove#NOtoSeaworld
