Falling from Snow-Covered Hills—into Love. {Poem} ~ Brook Stableford

NOT FOR REUSE

A hot dry desert breeze blows eastward from the Rockies—

past ponderosa pines,
lifting hawks and dragonflies,
brushing across your tickled skin,
and flowing eastward,

carrying with it
thoughts and heart bubbles joyously buoyant.

While visiting Colorado,
I have seen my reflection in the snow-covered hills,
and reflected on the importance of my beloved,
who will soon receive my thoughts and warmth on the breeze,

which must suffice for both of us until we embrace again.

Cosmic connection, love, food, family, good food and a shared dinner—
I am an honest soul,
drawn to the most important things in life,
and resonate with the feeling of falling

falling

 in love.
