Waylon with Reggie Ray: Learning to be Human.

Reggie Ray

Walk the Talk Show with Waylon Lewis.

Waylon talks with American Buddhist academic and teacher, Reggie Ray, about Chögyam Trungpa, Dharma Ocean and Busyness as Laziness:

“Meditation shows us how to put our thinking mind offline and begin to reawaken our larger somatic nature…what it means to be human.” ~ Reggie Ray, Walk the Talk Show with Waylon Lewis

“Because of our lifestyle and our culture we are more disconnected from the felt presence of being alive than any people ever.” ~ Reggie Ray, Walk the Talk Show with Waylon Lewis

Info from Reggie Ray’s website

Reggie Ray has known Waylon since he was a little boy. Reggie, along with Waylon’s parents, was one of Chögyam Trungpa’s first students in America. He was a faculty member of Naropa University, where he taught from 1974 until 2009.

He was teacher in Residence at Shambhala Mountain Center from 1996–2004, and co-founded the Dharma Ocean Foundation, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the practice, study and preservation of the teachings of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and the practice lineage he embodied. As the Spiritual Director of Dharma Ocean Foundation, he oversees the community and teaches meditation programs in Crestone, Colorado, and elsewhere in North America.

Overall, Reggie’s work has made the highest teachings of Tibetan Buddhism accessible to modern people and effective in addressing their spiritual longings, aspirations and imperatives.
