33 Affirmations for a Better Year & Better You.

Midnight meditation

I kept my goals for 2015 simple: start more dance parties and state my affirmations daily.

This article is what inspired my need for more dance in my life. Enough said.

The affirmations came about in lieu of resolutions because it felt more fulfilling, more intrinsically gratifying, less demanding.

Affirmations have been big part of my life for many years. I find them so helpful in changing my mindset and reminding me of what I’m worthy of. I tend to create them in times of light and confidence and turn to them in times of darkness and despair.

There are so many great affirmation guides out there—I wrote these with what spoke to me at the time: the general gist of my intentions for the new year, a willingness to recognize the good in what I already have and feel, and a knowing of where I want to allow myself to be.

I hope this article inspires you to write your own affirmations! This is the first time I have done so and it felt very beautiful and natural to do. If any of them really resonate, please feel free to copy them into your journal or print this off and have it for whenever you like or need. Enjoy!

I easily and pleasantly prioritize my spirituality, health, and welfare.

I remember and make sense of my dreams.

I find myself laughing often. And freely.

I create space for my dreams and follow my fantasies.

I communicate and expect the best (for myself and others).

I honor and cherish my body, every day, and in every way.

I recognize my inner critic and replace it with confidence and compassion.

I worship myself daily.

I am in love; I love freely.

I release resistance, I surrender.

I recognize and appreciate my health, wealth, and good fortune.

I am open to and receive all forms of abundance.

I find myself present and choose to be here!

I meditate, in all that I do.

I love freely. I make love with life, passionately and freely.

I give of my self freely and regularly volunteer time to help those in need.

I am utterly healthy and whole.

I feel amazing in my body, and worship it as my temple.

I express and openly receive my needs.

I find great joy in practicing my yoga regularly.

I am open to the unknown.

I feel proud of, beautiful, content, confident and at ease in my physical body.

I am beautiful; my soul shines through.

I choose to understand.

I choose love.

I find myself effortlessly and gladly participating in activities that raise my vibration.

I see and experience the beauty in every day, in every soul.

I cry openly and freely.

I see through the darkness and into the light.

I open myself to great love; found and experienced within and without.

I am worthy of having a body I am excited to live in.

I make decisions based on what makes me feel good.

I am worthy.

That’s it! How do you feel? Do you have any to add of your own? If so, I would love to see them in the comments below. I hope we all have a great 2015 and enjoy the softer, more creative side of year of the sheep.
