A gentle murmur.
You first.
She insisted.
With sand between their toes, he took one hard look at her.
She stood there.
Nervously.
All she could think of were all her flaws. Her dry, frizzy hair, her freckled, sunburnt face. And a body that was never slim enough.
But he saw none of that. All he could see was a kind-hearted soul and a person with the ability to quote every single John Wayne movie there is.
But most of all, her unfailing love for him.
He smiled.
Took her hands into his.
And for a moment, the universe around them stopped.
They were left in a world of their own.
Imperfect in every way.
Yet perfect for each other.
