Life rages on as waterfalls

Flowing faster and faster until it all
Comes crashing down on the rocks below
Drowning every shred of the life we know
Swept away in its waves we scream
Desperately trying to find some means
Of rising above and slowing the speed
We fight the water with every breath
Longing only to find some way to rest
Yet it seems beyond us to understand
The simple fate of all of man
Let go and let the water rage
Let it free you from your self made cage
Let it take you where it wants to go
Let it in and let it flood your soul
For the water knows what we do not
It knows no bounds nor place to stop
It’s flows so freely on its way
Flowing endlessly every night and day
Knowing every turn and every fall
Is part of the journey, after all
None can say what tomorrow holds
What trials and treasures might unfold
But the water knows it must let go
It must continue in its flow
For the destination is not the goal,
But rather what the journey holds.
