“When someone shows you who they are, believe them.”

“When someone shows you who they are, believe them.”
~ Maya Angelou

If someone answers the phone when you call, believe this person thinks you are important.

If someone outwardly disrespects another person, believe this person could disrespect you next.

If someone loves and nurtures your children, believe this person is making the world a better place for everyone.

If someone never thanks you when you go out of your way, believe this person does not appreciate you. And find someone who does.

If someone encourages you when you need it most, believe this person has courage to share. And take it, use it and give it back.

If someone walks out of your life, believe this person is not meant to be in it. If sadness follows, let yourself cry. And then let this person go.

If someone thinks you are wonderful, believe this person sees the best in you. And believe what this person thinks is true.

If someone blames you when things go wrong, believe this person is surrounded by scapegoats. And don’t be one.

If someone is always happy to see you, believe this person is a blessing in your life. And cherish your time together.

If someone treats you in a hurtful way, believe this person is hurting. And love them from a distance.

If someone makes you feel accepted, believe this person understands the power of unconditional love. And hang around with this person a lot.

If someone is the first one out on the dance floor, believe this person would love some company and be happy to teach you some moves.

And go ahead and dance.
