Leave it Wild. {Poem}

pinecone nature

I would rather have a love

that burns it all down
and sit with you in the ashes —
the residue of our passion
knowing that even if our tracks
go different directions
we experienced a fire
many try to control

a fire
most are too afraid to go near
but we allowed it to consume us
and when we experience
a love like this
we no longer fear death
because for as long
as the fire burned
We lived
as others slowly die
trying to control
what should be left wild.
