*Eleditor’s note: Astrology isn’t a religion. We’re not sure it’s a science, either. It’s magic, maybe. But, as with feng shui, say, things affect things. So as long as we don’t go blaming our problems on the stars, as long as we assume responsibility for our own actions…well, hell, a little auspicious coincidence and applicable wisdom can’t hurt.

This week is very powerful in the matters of intuition and love. The energy that is swirling in the air is resting directly above the mysterious side of romantic relationships and it is here to transform how we view the affairs of our hearts.

Last week’s Full Moon was in the sign of Scorpio, however, it was also bound by Taurus’ energy, so we might have been struggling to work out whether to chase after what our heart wants, or whether to stay safe and secure living by Taurus’ rules and wait for the right moment and the right conditions before going after our heart’s desires.

“This signifies a time when we can finally stop running and seek real answers to questions that may have been overwhelming us for far too long.” ~ Kate Rose, Elephant Journal

With the next New Moon in Taurus early in May, we will benefit greatly from respecting all the qualities and characteristics of this sign as it will be huge on the playing field over the coming weeks.
On Thursday April 28th Mercury goes retrograde in the sign of Taurus and on April 29th Venus, the planet of love, affection, romance and beauty, will slip into her home sign, Taurus.

Venus, the Goddess of Love, will be getting comfortable and cozy reacquainting with Taurus and she will rest there for approximately three weeks. During this time relationships will be directly in the spotlight and as both Venus and Taurus are sensual creatures we may find that our senses are very easily stimulated during this time.

Venus in Taurus will be reminding us that before we get carried away with our sexual and sensual desires and before all the love chemicals flush through our system and cloud our perception, it might be worthwhile to raise our awareness to what exactly it is that we are involving ourselves in.

The last Full Moon was all about cutting through illusions and seeing things as they actually are and alongside that we have to be willing to accept that even when we open our eyes and remain aware we will see that sometimes within our relationships, particularly new ones, things aren’t always as they seem at the outset.

This is not too much of a concern though, as it firmly teaches us that we should keep our focus on ourselves and not become overly distracted with how other people behave.

When we are in tune with ourselves our intuition and perception heighten drastically so we will naturally have greater clarity, awareness and be far less likely to be fooled, without needing to look outward too much at all. We just need to place our trust in how we feel on the inside and what our senses are trying to tell us.

More importantly though, we will become more aligned with what it is we want out of our relationships and overall life rather than trying to bend and shape ourselves to please someone else.

During this period, more than ever before, we simply cannot just place our trust in the words that people tell us, or even in the actions they show us. The time has now come for us to fully tap into our intuitive senses, explore them and finally realize that if we really want to know the answers and discover the route to the road we want to be on, we only have to look within.

We may regularly place far too much importance on evaluating and assessing the behavior of others rather than digging internally and seeing what it is that we really want and if our soul threads align with, or are trying to avoid, whoever or whatever is in front of us.

Often we are so busy paying attention to other people we can forget to be silent and listen to ourselves so that we know how we truly feel.

We sometimes find ourselves desiring something that we don’t really want just because we get too caught up in what the other person is doing or saying, and we forget to notice what our own feelings and sensations are desperately trying to express.

This is particularly prevalent when someone is playing mind games, by using reverse psychology or silent treatment to trick us into wanting what we actually don’t really want at all!

We can learn so much about ourselves through our relationships, so we should remain open and receptive to all the interactions, whether romantic, or otherwise, that are about to take place.

Although this can be a very natural and relaxed period for romance—peace and harmony will be far more noticeable in the relationships that are already stable, solid and firm or in new ones that are not holding high and unrealistic expectations.

For the romances that are in the early budding stage, patience will be necessary as Taurus’ influence over the coming weeks means that love or any other connection will not want to be hurried, feel pushed or rushed along.

Things will be moving very slowly right now so for romance to beautifully blossom, take the foot off the gas, take it easy and allow it all to ebb and flow.

Our hearts are huge magnets and they will naturally pull towards us anything that vibrates on a similar frequency, so we do not need to force anyone or anything to want us, as the harder we try, the more things will naturally repel.

“Love is like a butterfly, the more you chase it, the more it will elude you…until you turn your attention towards other things it will come and softly sit on your shoulder.” ~ Unknown

When our hearts are full and we are radiating all of our love outwards, those who are meant for us will not be able to help themselves from feeling magnetically drawn towards us.

For some people our heart’s vibration will feel much too strong, for others it may feel too weak and for those who we are meant to connect to, the vibration will resonate strongly and the electricity will instantly be felt.

When we pay attention to who and what we are magnetizing we will start to see that when we put absolute faith in our hearts and allow them to choose, they will draw towards us exquisite connections that will soothe, nourish and deliciously seduce our mind, body, heart and soul.

It is not always easy to trust fully in the process so that we allow what is out there for us to arrive. However, when we consciously refuse to force something that doesn’t naturally flow in our direction or anything that feels as though it needs us to change who we are before we receive it, we will soon understand that whatever keeps presenting itself is there for a reason and anything that flies past was just not meant to be—at least not right now.

We are only responsible for our own actions, words, desires and needs. Therefore, how other people interact with us is out of our control, so all we can really do is sit back and enjoy the journey, while keeping our awareness solely on what we are feeling and experiencing rather than becoming preoccupied with other people’s thoughts, feelings and intentions.

When we are fully attuned to our own sensations we will quickly and easily pick up on what feels right or what we are trying to hold on to that is dysfunctional, unproductive, unhealthy, or that simply isn’t serving us well.

The greatest affirmation that will be happening right now is that we always receive exactly what it is that our soul needs, even if it doesn’t feel this way at the time.

We either receive reminders that some of our deepest energetic wounds still need to be healed or we receive a key to open up a portal so that we can gain greater knowledge and a fuller understanding of our purpose here on Earth.

Our hearts can hold limitless amounts of love so whether something remains with us or moves on, we can send it endless waves of unconditional love so that it can just “be” whatever it is meant to be, whether it is near or far from us.

Relationships are mirrors and by looking at the reflection, rather than scrutinizing the person radiating it, we can see who we are at our root and stir this energy into action so that we make the most of not only our ability to love and be loved, but also so that we develop and grow every aspect of our entire being.
