I care about equality. I care about transgender rights—I care about the rights of all Americans. Why? Because that’s the vision of this country: that diversity and equality, together, make us Americans.
But, that said, I hadn’t become personally passionate about this issue. I sided with transgender rights, but had yet to feel the vital importance of the issue from the inside, out. That was until I watched this:
From my friend Will: “As easy as it is to become disillusioned with government and government officials these days, this woman renews my hope that there’s still world class talent in DC. And let me say this, I wouldn’t want to be on the other side of the court room from here.”
