Poem: I Will no Longer, for Love.

I will no longer, for love.

I will no longer
Be solely the dessert
You eat after dinner
Depending on whether you are in the mood
I am a five course meal
Of the freshest variety
Farm to table
Organic
Nourishment
For the mind, body, and soul

I am
Not a microwaveable
Dinner for one
That you store in the freezer
And heat up
When you are lazy
I am
An under the string lights
On a starry night
Kind of woman
A high-class establishment
You must book in advance
For I am busy
And always full
But you can join me if you’d like
To taste the textures
And flavors of life
