There is no Because to your Reason

Often times you may think why something is a certain way, or why did that happen because of this. The reason I am keeping it vague here is that such matters of cause and effect are of a subjective nature. For example, if one has to explain the ride of #bitcoin in the last couple of years, there can be many answers that postulate many different theoretical, philosophical, technological, some even fanatical positions. If you care to look at it, each can have their own truths that work perfectly in making sense to that individual. Sense is key to our discussion here. We can say that something makes more sense because that truth can hold up to a more intensive stress-test upon inquiry. Whether it be a matter of logic, faith, emotion, or intuition, the reasons for how something makes sense to somebody are almost always of an individual nature. How it makes sense to the individual is what brings us to the topic of the mind.

We know the brain. It is in our head, encased in a bone box. What I mean by knowing the brain is that we have a physical sense of it. The brain is a part of the body. But to say the mind is a part of my body will not make sense (like we said, if stress-tested upon inquiry). Because the body will die, the mind will not make sense of death. To some extent it can bring fear, anxiety, or even hallucination upon the thought of death. The challenge here is to have clarity of how this all happens while keeping the stress-test of sense absolutely intense. Each mind is a unique composite of experience. It is the nature of the mind to be able to experience itself also. For example, #artificialintelligence can process the information that is fed to it, make a range of possible permutation and combination of it, and also (potentially) perceive itself of its own pattern of processing. This is possible in a technical device today because it is inherent to the nature of the human mind already. Now, examining the cause and effect of our lives is a much simpler case to understand. A very broad statement would be, as many new-age and scriptural texts have been propounding perpetually, ‘It is all in your mind’. This is like saying that because you have a penchant for the colour red, you tend to notice more red. It may be your lack in noticing your own mind’s tendency that makes you believe that there is more red around you. But it may not be the case really. You notice more red, that is why it may seem like there is more red. And definitely, if your eye is oblivious to colour, you can equally believe that there is no colour in your life.

There are many things involved in how the mind has come about. But there are not many things for me to say why your mind is involved in being a certain way. The mind is the machine running, fueling, feeding, killing, and reviving itself. It is the cause to its own effects. There are many areas to cover if we start to look into the mind. I do intend to get into them little by little, and to also keep the stress-test levels of sense intense – because it is very easy to be fluffy and goofy with these topics (my mind wants me to make this disclaimer at the end).
