Feeling empty doesn’t mean you are a loser

Self-alienation refer as mental illness often confused by emptiness. But it’s not! There are numerous reason people feel empty – Life is boring because nothing good is happening, working on something so long but failed, constant fight with everyone be it friends, family or partner. Work place is so annoying and nobody cares about anything except working like a robot, constant reminder about being ugly, break-up with the one you dragged yourself from east to west, addiction of stuff which caused you bankrupt, false allegations, family drama, body shaming. There are hundred more reasons. You denied opportunity coming your way just because you started believe nothing good can be happen. But the reality is – it’s not lack of someone else’s love or attention that causes your emptiness. Inner emptiness is caused by self-abandonment – by not loving yourself. The main reason is – lack of connection with your spiritual source of love; love for yourself. YOU comes first before anybody else.

In the process of seeking others attention, judging yourself wrong always, drowned in your own ego, finding fix in tobacco, alcohol, drugs, etc., hated yourself for allowing toxic people to destroy your life but still sticking with them. You are killing yourself in the process. We all do mistakes, it is the part of life. But your mistakes doesn’t define you. It’s not forever stamp on you. The way you think actually the way you are nurturing your mind to grow into. Like you keep watering the plant without plucking the wild grass around it. There is only one life, the world out there is beautiful. The phases of life is like moon. Everyday change it shape. New challenges shape you. Some days worst, some days best.

Instead for drowning into emptiness, start finding your fix in something which keeps you happy. Plant seeds which will grow beautiful. Be it art, spiritual reading, yoga, sports. Start your day with gratitude. New dawn, new day, new opportunity to find the best in you. Involve yourself in such activity that shift your attention. Our mind and heart are like shape shifter. We human are gifted by self-healing. Listen to your inner soul. Be the one who you always wanted to be. Start your day with eating healthy. Involve yourself in different kind of physical exercise. More work out, more time you will invest to nurture good seeds in you. Listen to spirituality podcast. Read good books. Talk with your friend or family who listen to you and doesn’t judge you. If no one is around consult a therapist. They are always there to support. They give you solutions and help you to seed good things in you. You are not alone.

There was a time in my life I was as hollow and empty as the spaces between stars. Life was tangled me in such a way that either I ran away or start work on untangled each substances in which I caught on. Because no matter where I run, the baggage of guilt will be on my shoulder and keep reminding me about I didn’t fix it. I always desire to see the world outside my home. I have long wish list. I did countless mistakes but I did fix it myself but that one time I failed. I failed terribly. I was disconnected from the world like I wasn’t exist. I cried all day all night and begging God to fix it.

One day while browsing thru internet, I found random Instagram post about life mistakes. I kept reading and listening to the audio clips. I read about people who have had terrible past but they are successful now. They fix it on their own. They don’t give up. Later I read blog about Traveling which kept me hooked. One morning I woke up and decided to write a blog about Travel Tips. I kept on writing for 10 days. Each day I publish 1 Travel Tips. I started reading “The Secret Scrolls” again. I keep reading different blogs about art, about life, about world outside my home. My writing didn’t stop after the Travel Tips blog. I began to write every pain I feel because I was so scared to even speak about it and later it turned into poetry. I involve myself in yoga and meditation. I began to feel good and decided to be the one I always wanted to be – a wanderer. I began to understand we all are free souls. If we are caged, we had to fight our own to break the cage. I learned to say NO for the things I didn’t like. I grow stronger each day. I travel many places and began to document it. I keep brush up my photography and writing skills. Involve in many travel projects to be a good Travel Planner. Explore new things. I keep learning new dishes. New me born every day 🙂

That long empty days taught me 8 things:

  1. it’s your life, your world. Stand for yourself and don’t settle for anything less than your soul happiness.
  2. Say NO if you cannot do it or else adjustment will stab your soul every day.
  3. To kill the fear inside you, do the things which scare you. You will grow strong eventually.
  4. Trust your instinct. Meditate every day to connect with your soul as well to sharpen your instincts.
  5. Spend quality time with yourself surrounds the nature. Challenge your mind to do something you never did before.
  6. Accept the mistake, try to fix it and don’t run away!
  7. Read books and listen to spiritual / positive thoughts podcast every day. Feed your soul with good things like how you feed yourself with good food.
  8. Last but not the least, Gratitude. Thank Almighty for every single thing happens in your life, be it good or bad. You trust him, that he will protect you.

We all are beautiful souls. It’s okay to be empty some days, you will find yourself. A better one! Don’t give up. Start love yourself today, no matter what, YOU comes first. Look around, there are infinite opportunity to be happy.
