Where are the men who won’t disappoint us right off the bat?
Who listen intently—not because they have a hidden agenda, but because they’re genuinely fascinated by what we have to say.
Who know our lady parts and the cyclical nature of our bodies. Who understand that sex isn’t just an act that is rushed into, but an intimate connection of pleasure shared by both involved.
The men who communicate their feelings and don’t shut down, ignore, or lead with anger.
The men who understand that physical strength means nothing without the mental/emotional strength to meet it.
The men who are not afraid to open the door to their hearts, for they know that loving is better than building walls. Who are not afraid to take responsibility for their own internal condition.
The men who are intelligent, fierce, and wildly free.
Where are the men who will meet our intensity, passion, and drive, who have done the gut-wrenching, tear-jerking soul work to be at home in their own skin?
The men who won’t leave when sh*t gets a little bit shaky.
The men who understand that power is an illusion fueled by ego and who can admit when they are wrong or don’t know.
The men who won’t see us as “crazy” or “too much,” for they will know that we are just the right amount of both.
The men who won’t see us as a “challenge” or “someone who can take care of them,” for they already know we have been carrying the burden of taking care of everyone.
Who treat us with the respect we deserve simply for breathing and walking this earth.
